MP Class 3 to 8 Half-Yearly Exam Time Table 2023 has been released
Madhya Pradesh State Education Center (RSK) has released the timetable related to the half-yearly exams for students from class 3 to 8 of the MP Board on September 13, 2023. The half-yearly exams for class 5 will be conducted from October 9th to October 13th, 2023. As for class 8, the half-yearly exams will run from October 9th to October 16th, 2023.
In all government schools, the papers will come from the State Education Center, which will be printed and distributed to government schools or copied via photocopies. Meanwhile, private schools will create their own papers at the school level.
As per the guidelines issued for the half-yearly exams, based on the recommendations of the National Education Policy 2020, the half-yearly exams will be conducted. This means that in the half-yearly exams, students will be asked logical questions based on understanding rather than rote memorization, and their assessment will be done accordingly.
The time for the MP Board Class 4 to 8 half-yearly examination in 2023.
As per the department’s released half-yearly examination schedule for 2023, the half-yearly examination for students in classes 3 to 5 will be held from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM. Students will have 2 hours and 30 minutes to complete the paper.
Similarly, for students in classes 6 to 8, the half-yearly examination will take place from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM, and they will also have 2 hours and 30 minutes to attempt the paper.

In the academic year 2023-24, an effort has been made in the half-yearly assessment to prioritize the application of knowledge learned in real-life situations rather than rote memorization. Therefore, there is an emphasis on understanding, application, and the evaluation of higher-order thinking skills rather than just acquiring knowledge. Accordingly, all recognized government, aided schools, and receiving madrasas will follow the guidelines related to half-yearly assessment for classes 5 and 8 as per the following instructions.
Half-Yearly Assessment Schedule, Duration, and Syllabus Limit for Government Schools –
1.1. The half-yearly assessment for all government primary and upper primary schools in classes 5 and 8 will be conducted between October 9th and 16th, 2023. Class-wise and subject-wise timetables are attached in Annexure-1.
1.2. The half-yearly assessment will be based on the curriculum material taught until September 30, 2023.
